I was surprised while taking out this card from mail box this afternoon. Then I realized how thoghtful Moira is. Though there are just few lines, i still feel strongly her blessing. This greeting is not only for me but also for her country. That is really touching becauseＩknow this card means a lot. It is so Chinese and so british as well. I live where she is from and she stays in my city. Sometimes we exchange the current news of two cities and share how we used to cope with the life which the other one is experiencing right now.I always get some sort of imagination of Taipei through her words and i think she could feel her homeland through mine.That is the way we connect to each other, the route we put ourselves in the place which we should belong to.
收到這張賀卡的時候,非常的驚訝,Moira真是個細心的人,知道怎麼找到我.雖然裡面只有短短的幾句祝福,但是卻意義深遠,我強烈地感受到她的祝福，以及意在言外的鄉愁，這份問候不只寄給我，更是寄給她的家鄉，這張卡片的中國味，以及她的筆觸正足以說明二者的交疊，我們住在對方的城市裡，有時我們會交換著這二個城市的消息，告訴對方以前自己這個時候或這種情況，會如何如何云云，我總會從她的字裡行間想像台北現在的樣子，相信她也肯定能透過我的描述知道家鄉的變與不變。這便是使我們有所聯繫的因緣吧，我們通過這種奇妙的方式，彷彿置身於原該屬於的地方。
